Classification of goods
According to the regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), all types of cargo transported by air must be classified and identified to ensure appropriate handling procedures.
In general, air cargo is divided into two main categories:
– General Cargo
– Special Cargo: This category is further divided into several subgroups, each with its own specific handling procedures. Every type of special cargo is assigned a unique code.
